Kitchen hallway

We've installed pressed metal on the ceiling in the hallway area next to the kitchen. It's the same metal that we used for the kitchen splashback, only the ceiling is painted. Then cornice was used to edge it. Next step is to get the electrician to instal a light.

Verandah

The old verandah at the back of the house was not performing as it should. It wasn't very wide, didn't even cover the path, and had lots of holes in it. The gutter had been nailed on (at the bottom) so it leaked like a sieve! It had to go.

Once the frame work was up, then it was lined.
Then the old "mudroom" at the back door had to go.

A much better space now !!

Front passageway

The ceilings of the passageway in the front of the house were french polished baltic pine,
and made the area very dark.
We decided to paint it white.

This is Robert starting with the undercoat.
After the undercoat, he then used 2 tubes of Gap Filler
to fill the gaps, some you could put your finger right in!

It now looks higher
and lighter!

Next step
another coat of sealer
and then top coat.
