Bathroom 2

The bathroom ceiling is now white. Two coats of ceiling paint on top of two coats of Cover-stain.
Next step was to lay the cement sheeting (on a slight angle so that the water flows towards the drain) in readiness for the floor tiles.

Bathroom

The waterproofing in the shower is now finished, and we now turn to the ceiling.
The ceilings are baltic pine, and at some stage they have had shellac put on them, with a stain in the shellac.
To make sure the stain doesn't bleed through when you paint over it, a special undercoat is required. It's a sealer & undercoat in one . . .  and is called CoverStain.

Once the CoverStain is on, and dry, the next step is to apply a paintable Silicone to any gaps between the boards. When the roof was being replaced, we noticed we could see through the ceiling at a number of places, and we have 110 year old dust drifting down.

Shower

We are back in the bathroom now. Today's job is to apply waterproofing to the plasterboard walls in the shower area.  It looks like egg yolk - and is a similar consistency too!!
Robert - your turn now!!

Snow

We woke to find snow on Mt Roland outside our front window. We only saw it occasionally during the day because it kept raining. Our rainwater tank is full to overflowing.
The farmer who has the potato crop you can just see to the left of the paddocks, had to stop his harvesting until the rain cleared, and the ground dried up a bit. It wouldn't do to have the trucks bogged!

Mt Roland again

and behind Mt Roland is the Western Tiers, and their dumping was a bit heavier!
And it's not yet winter!!
