What are we doing now?

People keep asking us what we are doing now.
Well, with Robert working 4-5 days a week now, a lot less is being done around the house.
The weekends tend to be occupied with maintenance.
Last weekend he put the final coat of "Vintage" purple in the kitchen,
and this weekend he puttied up the knots in the timber and primed the outside of the "shed".

The vegetable patch is developing -
we now have potatoes, squash, cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes, pumpkin and silverbeet planted.
The weather is perfect for growing . . . temperatures around 20 deg every day, with occasional showers. The horse manure and mushroom compost is helping add vitality to the soil -
and you can almost see daily growth.
Once crops are ready to harvest, we'll be busy cooking and preserving!

  1. So, the answer is... lots! Looks good, the prep work is the most tedious, and the most important. At least the weather is perfect for all the hard work you are doing.

  2. Hi Liz
Thanks for your lovely card and all the well wishes. You guys have come a long way with Birch cottage.....it looks great and you have managed to put your own stamp on the place. Wishing you and Rob all the very best for 2013. Hopefully we will be able to pop in some day when we next visit Tassie.
We have finally bought a new townhouse on Bayswater Road in Croydon. Settlement was on the 14th and we moved in on the 15th....just in time for Christmas. We are really happy with this purchase and hopefully this will be our last big move!!!
Your card is lying on our benchtop waiting for me to write a personal note....but this is the note!!!! so the card will have to wait till the end of 2013...ha..ha! Our address: 4/54 Bayswater Road, Croydon, Vic 3136. Our little Lucca is 12 months old now and Leslie is 13 weeks pregnant with the second one. Jenny is having her hopes on a little girl but Fabien's family has boys only??
As far as school is concerned: 2013 sees us starting with 2 new lab techs, the ongoing position has been filled by a lady who worked at Yarra Valley Grammar and Danielles replacement position has been filled by a young lady from New South Wales.
    Regards and best wishes.
